SHESO had its first general meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday
July 8, 2005. It was attended by members of our organization and by Seltie
Ethiopians from across United States who came to Atlanta for the EFSFNA 2005
festival.

At this meeting members that are residing in different cities in North America pledged
to work together to advance the goal set by this organization.

Seltie Health and Education Support Organization “SHESO” has been incorporated in
the State of Texas since October 2004. SHESO has received Tax Exempt Status
from IRS in July 2005. Now SHESO is an exempt organization under section 501 (c)
(3) of the IRS code. Any contribution to SHESO is deductible under section 170 of
the code.

The Atlanta and Houston members have started contributing donations to the
organization. If you wish to make tax deductible contribution to this worthy cause,
please contact the treasurer Mohammed Bedru.

Dear friends and Members

Many people in Seltie region still live in extreme poverty and backwardness. Even though
few roads, heath center and schools existed, their services were far from satisfactory.

The situation is worrying. But it is neither hopeless nor easy and it is clear that the
government alone can't solve all these problems. That is why it is necessary for each and
every one of us who live in the Diaspora to help those who desperately need our help.
Although the region's needs are plenty we have focused on the need for health and
educational support, which we think we can have the maximum impact for the level of help
we can provide in our capacity.

S.H.E.S.O is now in a process of sending two containers of medical equipment and one
container of books, which was received from charity organization. These medical
equipment and books will make a tremendous impact on the region. Please donate
generously to make a difference in your people's life. Your donation will be tax deductible.

To meet our short term goal, we need to raise a total fund of $30,000.00 this year. We know
we do not have one individual that will send us a check for this amount, but we can reach
our goal if you can send what ever amount you can afford.

This year, Seltie Health and Education Support Organization (SHESO) is hosting the annual get
together in Dallas Texas. You are kindly invited to attend this meeting to discuss the
organization’s present and future activities.

SHESO ANNUAL GET TOGETHER

Siltie Health and Education Support Organization (SHESO) members and supporters from
North America and Canada had a meeting in Hilton Anton Dallas Texas on July 6, 2007.

The get together was called by SHESO leaders to discuss what SHESO have done and what
intends to do in the future. The meeting was attended by Siltie Ethiopians who came for
EFSFNA 2007 soccer tournament. Long and short term goal of SHESO was discussed, and
participants in the meeting shared their supportive ideas that SHESO could contribute
strong growth opportunities in Siltie areas; finally it was concluded with agreement that
SHESO needs every body’s effort and contribution to succeed on its goal
